40 years ago I made my first Bucilla stocking for my first son. Three years later I made one for my second son. They are still using those stockings today and they are still in excellent condition and have not lost a single sequin or bead. That is because I hand stitch every aspect of each stocking with care. Everything is double or triple knotted and will last a lifetime. This takes much time and loving care as most stockings take me weeks to make.
As my family has grown it has become a custom for me to make a stocking for daughters-in-law, grandchildren etc. It is wonderful to see all of these stockings hung up, waiting for Santa every year.
I noticed some people do not take the time to stuff the elements on the stockings. I however stuff every element that I can which makes them 3D and come to life. They also come from a smoke free and pet free environment.
This item is an 18" diameter stocking titled Santa's Unicorn. It is just waiting to become a treasured family heirloom.
