Gorgeous Vtg Japanese Porcelain Cherry Blossom Stacked Footed Jubako Box~Signed

Description

Up for your consideration is an absolutey gorgeous vintage Jubako Japan, three container boxes or bowls made out of a glazed ceramic or porcelain and weighs over 7 lbs total. It measures 8.5" tall and is 6" square at the bottom.These containers are hand painted depicting a gorgeous pink plum blossom tree,pine and bamboo scene with gold accents.
This design was used for the New Years Feast.
Jubako
are stacking boxes that were/are used to hold food. They are traditionally either ceramic/porcelain or lacquered wood, and are either square- or cylindrical-shaped. The square ceramic ones are the least common
jubako
but are perceived to have a more “Japanese” aesthetic while the round ones are more “Chinese.” It could be used for storage or whatever you’d like. The Japanese script reads, "Matsuo" /Pine Tail in Japanese.A perfect example of functional art! This item is in good condition, but please note there are a few very small flea bite nicks on the inside of a few rims and the inside of the lid has a few manufacturer flaws that look like cracks, but they are not. None of this is seen from the outside. Please see photos for overall condition!
